Another of my favourite illustrations from the original Way of the Blade book & an all-time classic! The sub-genre of lucha libre bloodbaths is one of my most loved niches of bloody pro wrestling matches & this is about as good as it gets. Like many of us long-time wrestling nerds, I originally got onto this one from the Death Valley Driver forum & their famed 1980s watch project. Another that I was just so delighted to see on Phil's list for the book & to get to watch again & soak up it's gory, blood-soaked, disgusting beauty all over again. Just tremendous in every way. If you don't feel something deep within yourself when Pirata Morgan licks the blood of El Dandy & spits it into the air, do you even have a soul?!
