We’re up to week 5 of my Chris Things “Match of the Week” art series & still kickin’! For my 5th instalment, I finally got around to watching the finals of the 1st ever All Japan World Open Tag Team Tournament & boy, it was a doozy!
This bout took place on December 15th, 1977 from the Kuramae Kokugikan Sumo Hall in Tokyo.
Absolute chaos is the name of the game in this one. Just from start to finish this was out of control insanity. If you could imagine a b-grade slasher film in pro wrestling form, this is it! It’s got it all; brawling, kung fu, vampirism & using cutlery to its fullest potential as a wrestling 'foreign object'.
