So after last week picking an All Japan Pro Wrestling match from 1977 for my 'Match of the Week' art series, this week I'm fast-forwarding about 46 years to current 2023 All Japan. And it’s still GREAT!!

Here we’ve got the legendary Big Japan girthy boy duo of Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi (Strong BJ) vs. the recently reunited, amazing All Japan big fellas of Shuji Ishikawa & Suwama (The Violence Giants) from June 17th, 2023 from the “AJPW Dynamite Series 2023 - Day 3: New Age MANIAx” show from the lovely Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo.

Now let me tell you, absolutely incredible team names aside, this match is just tremendous in every way! Just a total testament to chonky, big beefy men slapping beef & hitting one another real hard. What more could one ask for from the wrestling gods?!

As you can see, I was obviously very captivated by the awesome Double Torture Rack of Strong BJ enough that it became the defining moment for this illustration but this match was just truly a joy to watch from start to finish. Four of my very favourites wrestling one of the gruffest, manliest matches you ever did see.
