Today brings us to the 155th of our Chris Things Art 'Match of the Week' illustration series. And this week, I can't believe it either as we have another CURRENT one with a match from this past week in Mexico City that totally rocked!

This incredibly atmospheric, passion-filled bout took place as the main event of this weeks' Raw on September 14th, for the World Championship of the up-north territory at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City.

So I must preface this one with the fact that I have been a Pentagon Jr. fan for quite some time. From the first time I saw him in #LuchaUnderground & AAA he was just the coolest wrestler ever to me. Then watching him become a total hero to the hardcore indie-faithful & getting to see him in-person in PWG really cemented that. I've been so happy to see all of his successes up to this point. And now getting to see him get his flowers in such an amazing way here; the main event of the best Raw in the longest time, on such a big platform was very memorable. I recall feeling so frustrated with how he was so under-utilised for years elsewhere, which really contributed to making this match & this moment feel even more special. That entrance & the Mexican crowd reaction all-through this match are things that I will never forget! Total vibes!!

The match itself did such a masterful job of getting the absolute most out of this incredible heart of the CDMX fans. As someone who has a lot of love for Lucha Libre Mexicana, this did have a lot of the hallmarks of a big time, epic, heated Mano a Mano lucha match the likes of a Dr. Wagner Jr. or Ultimo Guerrero or Atlantis.

Both guys were just tremendous & I feel regardless of the finish, this one cemented Penta as a full-fledged main event act in the world of the American Pro Wrestling mainstream. Pentagon Jr. is the guy. Cero Miedo baby!
