Today brings us to the 151st of our Chris Things Art 'Match of the Week' illustration series. And today we get back to that G1 goodness with a doozy!

This incredible display of pain, endurance & heart took place on July 29th, 2026 - Night 8 of the #G1Climax36 Tournament, at the Yamato Arena in Osaka.

So as you'd expect, by my own choices, I am still quite behind in this years #G1Climax Tournament but man, it's been so amazing I really don't want to rush it. And this night especially just blew me away with 3 amazing & all very different tournament matches. It was such a close call between this, Oiywa vs Sanada & Shingo vs Goto but after much deliberation, this one was our guy. And I think it was primarily due to the uniqueness.

This match was all chops! And not a back and forth chop battle, but just Tsuji blistering Yuto over & over& over again all match long. One could think this might get redundant but for me, this just kept getting better & better as it went on. The story of Yuto showing his toughness & enduring all that the Gene-Blaster could throw at him was so perfect. The point when Tsuji's hand starts to get sore from all the chops & Yuto starts to arc up at him got me good!

This rocked, both of these guys rock & this years' G1 bloody rocks!! Highly recommended!
