Feliz Día Nacional De La Lucha Libre mi amigos!! In honour of this very special day, I thought I would share a previously never posted small original ink art piece of one of my very favourite luchadores; Llaveo Maestro, El Solar!
This is a piece that I completed a little while back that I have been bringing along with me to a few different recent in-person events. Solar really changed my perception of what Lucha Libre Mexicana could be when I first discovered his incredible rivalry with fellow legendary king of llave, Negro Navarro. I always felt that Solar had such a special presence to him and carries so much of the timeless feeling of Lucha Libre magic in his very being. ...also one of my favourite masks of all time!
I hope everyone celebrates this day by watching all of the Lucha Libre you can (maybe even a Solar match or two) ...it is a very special & joyous thing!
