Hi pals! We’re back for the 31st edition of our “Match of the Week” illustration series & I’ve got back on board the good ship Pro-Wrestling NOAH!
I mean I never really got off of it but it’s always tough to keep up with all the great Pro Wrestling out there & I often find myself needing to get caught back up. I always say NOAH is the best Professional Wrestling around & this barn-burner of a match is really a testament to that statement!
This one took place on January 13th of this year at ‘NOAH Star Navigation 2024’ in the hallowed grounds of Korakuen Hall for NOAH’s top prize; the GHC Heavyweight Championship.
If you ever want to know what NOAH is about, this match is the one for you. Just everything I love about great, gruff, physical wrasslin’ goodness! After being made to play second fiddle to a very ‘less than his best' Kota Ibushi on NOAH’s last big show prior to this, I feel like the champion, KENOH really wrestled like he had something to prove here (both for himself, but also for NOAH as a whole). And Go was the perfect opponent to do that with. An age old battle of kicks vs chops & lariats. Go targeting KENOH’s kicking leg with a series of lariats! An absolutely INSANE Dragon Suplex off of the top rope! Man, what more can I say other than this was totally awesome & you should fire up a Wrestle Universe sub & watch it RIGHT NOW! Highly recommended!
