Grave Consequences Casket Match - 01.25.2015, Lucha Underground Season 1, Episode 19 from 'The Temple' in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA

Another of my favourite illustrations from the original Way of the Blade book & a match very close to my heart. I'd go as far as to say the greatest 'Casket Match' that I've ever seen. I remember loving everything about Lucha Underground at this time; the wrestling, a super fresh approach to storytelling within a pro-wrestling television show environment and also just the entire general 'pulpy', 'schlocky' vibe of the whole thing. Basically Lucha Libre meets Dusk Till Dawn or Planet Terror. This match was the high point of the whole thing for me.

I was so excited when I saw this one on Phil's list! Just the perfect David vs Goliath bloody spectacle of a match with the perfect loveable underdog vs the perfect video-game main boss. This ruled so hard! Man I miss Lucha Underground!!

ENJOY!!!
