On the way to the upcoming Way of the Blade sequel, here's another flashback illustration for you of a much-loved match from the original (from the great guys at Hybrid Shoot, written by the rad Phil Schneider, illustrated by yours truly!)

This fantastic match between two of my all-time favourites took place at WCW/NWA's The Great American Bash '89 - 'Glory Days' at the Baltimore Arena, MD.

I love this match & feud dearly. The first big match of their feud after the tremendous angle whereby Terry piledrives Flair on a table in the aftermath of his classic with Ricky Steamboat. We get the all-time amazing wrestler/manager duo of Funk & Gary Hart. Dang 1989 WCW was awesome!

This is also just fantastic as we get a glimpse of crowd-favourite Ric Flair against slightly off-his-rocker, mean, cantankerous Terry Funk. Such a great dynamic & also so darned great to see Terry draw something completely different out of Flair. This feud was everything! A totally wild brawl, bloody great match & very effective first match of the feud. Man, thinking about this one just makes me want to go back & watch '89 WCW in full. And then to think it only gets better as we approach their incredible "I Quit" Match in New York! Highly recommended!!
