I'm back for the big 85th addition to our little 'ol 'Match of the Week' illustration series & this week I've got another Wrasslin' Club at The Scratch special for ya!

So we played some tremendous matches on Sunday night on the big screen which resulted in a very difficult decision! We saw Black Terry vs Wotan, Big Van Vader vs Cactus Jack, Jushin Liger vs Great Muta & a 'main-event' of KENTA vs Kenta Kobashi!! But hand on heart if this totally beautiful old man brawl didn't somehow bring me even more joy than anything else.

This crimson & fire all-killer/no-filler romp took place back on May 5th, 1994 at FMW's massive 5th Anniversary Show before over 50,000 fans at the famed Kawasaki Stadium.

So if Cagematch is correct, I believe this to be the last ever Terry vs Sheik match. And what a way to go out! I don't know how old Sheik is here but he certainly wound back the clock & was absolutely PERFECT! Just a living breathing oddity in the best of ways. Terry of course brings everything we have come to adore about this truly great man. From viciousness to vulnerability, to that iconic Terry brevity.

In a bit over 5 minutes, this match had EVERYTHING that I possibly could have expected & then some. Sheik is still the devil incarnate. Terry is at his wildest, zaniest best. ...the moment where Sheik lights Terry's leg on fire?! The post match of Terry Moonsaulting Sabu!

Dude, this is just fantastic & overdelivered in every way! HIGHLY recommended!!

P.S. I'm still coming to terms with Sabu's passing & the nutty timing of it all. I think it goes without saying that there will be a Sabu tribute match at our next Wrastling Club event.
