We're back for the 105th edition of our 'Match of the Week' illustration series & this week I have another Lucha Libre Mexicana classic on our hands from Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre.

This absolutely PERFECT 2/3 falls 'Trios' affair took place as the main event of CMLL's April 18th, 2025 Friday night Viernes Espectacular show in a jam-packed Arena Mexico.

So to start, I don't think I can say it better than this thing was just a perfect match. In all the wrestling I watch, that is actually an extremely rare thing. But this just came together so well & felt totally magical all the way through. Perfect tecnicos, perfect rudos, wonderful chemistry & the hottest crowd that exists in professional wrestling today with a sold out, absolutely beautiful 'La Catedral'.

I actually got onto this doing something of a catch up watch in the aftermath of the big Aniversario the other week. But dang am I glad I didn't miss this one. A perfect mix of old and new. And of course, my all time favourite, Blue Panther had another just incredible showing in the year 2025. ...I hear your 60s is the new 30s in wrestling career primes!

This was just so wonderful in every way & made me so happy to watch. Lots of smiles throughout. This is what it's all about. HIGHLY recommended!!
