"Desert Standoff" - Ballpoint Pen & Digital Illustration
A feature-piece of my 2023 solo show (Los Luchadores vs Cowboys De La Muerte), this work captures a high-stakes standoff in the desert between our soft-spoken hero, El Santo and his skeleton outlaw foe. As one of the first artworks completed for this 'masked Mexican wrestlers vs skeleton cowboys' concept-driven show, I feel this piece established a fun narrative/vibe that continued throughout the remaining pieces.
